What are dry eyes?

Dry eyes occur when tears are not able to provide the right amount of moisture to your eyes. Dry eyes have become more common with increased time spent on mobile devices–such as your phone, computer, or tablet.

  • blurry vision

  • redness, excessive watering

  • burning, stinging, or scratching feeling

  • light sensitivity

  • trouble driving at night

how are dry eyes treated?

Treatments for dry eyes include:

  • artificial tears

  • night time ointment

  • warm compresses

  • serum tears

The most common treatments are preservative-free tears and preservative-free night time ointment. These treatments can be found over the counter at your pharmacy or grocery store, or at our office.
